This is the first volume in The Reef Aquarium series [1883693128], [1883693136], and [1883693144]. This collection is the bible for reef aquarium keepers world wide. While very practical and full of how-to information, this book also cover the theoretical aspects necessary to understand how things work. This allows the reader to take the next steps by themselves and develop new techniques when the need arises. An example of this deeper understanding is in the significant amount of reef biology is presented. I can not recommend this book, the entire set in fact, too highly - both for aquarium keepers and anyone interested in reef biology.
